Hello everyone. I got a two clown fish, an anemone, and a blue tang earlier this week. The main reason i bought the tang was so it could eat all the algae that grew constantly. The tang did a great job with that, making algae a rare thing. Just yesterday the tang seemed to be fine swimming around from in between the rocks. Now its hidden in one spot and isn't moving. At first I thought it died, but as I attempted to take it out of the tank it started to move. The tang isn't dead, at least yet, but has black stuff on the bottom of it's body.
I did check the water, which indicated the water was good. And I did do a water change yesterday, but it did swim fine after that.
Could someone help me with this problem ASAP

I picture would definitely help.

And blue tangs tend to wedge themselves in rocks when they are stressed or at night. That isn't too unusual.

I would love to take some and give you some, but the fish is in a really difficult spot to see, hidden behind some rocks.

Pics help with disease ID. And I'll be the first to say it because someone will, quarantine is very important when adding new livestock. Let's get some pictures of it and we'll see the best way to treat it.

Take a tank pic. You need to provide more info on your problem and what good water means. Thanks

I agree we need more information.
What Size Tank is it?
How old is the tank?
What other fish are in the tank?
Now maybe some water parameter numbers:
Ammonia
Nitrite
Temperature
PH

[emoji16]Thanks. Starting off with a problem making me think! Personally this could be the case of all the newcomers added at once is kinda throwing something off balance and the “black spots” are just stress colors coming out on the tang. Which would even itself out in time, but I can’t be sure without some insight.
