Ok so I have a blue eye tang that was in copper at the LFS. I brought it home, have ran through TTM on the third transfer. The second transfer I used prazipro, and will use it on the next transfer being the 4th and final. The fish seems fine, and has been in with 3 barrier reef chromis. I have noticed no signs of anything with any of the fish. They are all very active and eat very well. Should I treat further or would I be safe adding them to the DT? Thanks

I have been told that if the fish has been in copper that it can take up to 30 days for velvet to show up.:-(

Check out the fish disease forum. It's quite a read.

The folks there are an amazing resource.

Agreed it's best to monitor for a couple of weeks at least for signs of velvet or any potential breakthrough with TTM/prazi tx.

I agree with Carrie. Never trust your lfs. If the store didn't keep the copper at therapeutic levels for 30 days the fish may still be harboring parasites.
