Tang Stocking Question......again.

I don’t see anything on their website or information about their quarantine procedures. I’m not saying that they’re not legit, I’m just saying be weary as many LFS state they quarantine because they sit in low level copper and feed medicated food for 1-60 days which will do little if anything at all.

Reef eScape? They do medicate with copper and other stuff. I buy from them too and just do acclimation before putting in the DT. Excellent quality fish.
LOL yes it is Reef escape. They are awesome Imo I have never had an issue with fish purchased from them.

Olivia is awesom EXTREMELY knowledgeable. She takes a minute to warm up but once she does she is a huge treasure trove of information. She has helped me more than once. She knows her stuff that is for sure. And she is very anal about using the right tools in the right tank no cross contamination going on there. The place is two thumbs up for me.

Sorry to contradict you that tangs are risky additions. They are actual no more risky then any other fish. If you properly QT them, use ICK meds if you see ICK during QT. And feed nori which is cheap if you buy the none seasoned sushi wraps from an Asian supper market. The only expense is that they require a 6' long tank to live in and actually the Kole and bristle tooth tangs can live in a 90gal tank.
No contradiction at all. It’s all about perspective. To me feeding nori and i use to feed red algae a few times a day is a bit much for me. So its all about personal perspectives. So for me too much care is needed. Lol. I could utilize my two helpers so it’s not completely off the table. I do agree once treated as you mention they are no different then any other fish. Now let’s hope my older daughter does not log in and see this. Lol
