My yellow tang in quarantine has what looks to be raised clear, with some white bubbles type growths on both sides of body toward tail.
Has only been through one prazi treatment and has been in qt for 2 weeks.
Seems to be struggling to swim at times.

Trying, here is a zoomed in pic. It’s hard to see. It’s a raised area that is mostly clear. Looks almost like a fungal or bacterial infection. I will keep trying. Fish definitely seems to be struggling.

Are you referring to its scalpels or something else in the pic?

No, it’s right before the scalpel. I am attempting to get a better pic. It’s a raised almost clear patch. You can really see it when the fish turns and swims away. Almost like clear jelly substance.

I see what you’re referring to. A faint jelly on the fish an inch or more in front of the scalpel.

Hard to tell but fungus is very uncommon in marine life. I’m guessing it’s an infection or brook. Brook typically doesn’t present that way that early or in that location but on a yellow fish it’s tough to tell.

Metroplex would treat either one, for an infection you’d want to add kanaplex and furan 2 and treat for 14 days.

Here’s another pic. I also see a brown dot too toward emerge tail. It looks white when the light catches it at an angle.
I realized tonight when I did the prazi I forgot the hob had a possibly spent charcoal pack in it but may have made it less effective.
I have metro on hand and prazi. Should I try the metro until I can get some of the other meds to combine it with or do another Prazi (I did notice a single black dot on the body right before prazi near where the brown dot is now)?
Fish did eat quite a few pellets wasn’t interested in frozen.
I did a water change and also could see how it looks in tha am.
