Tang stung by rbta

We got small rainbow bta n its in a holding cup till I redo rock tomorrow n our dumb kole tang went into the cup I'm sure it was stung its side is discoloured in spots he ate n was acting normal hours later how bad is the sting from a small rbta I hope he is ok do you think it can take the sting n pull through

That's the rbta 50 cent piece about maybe lil larger

Thank you for the reply I hope it does haven't seen him yet today so hope as I remove n redo rock he swims out of a spot behind the rock

The RBTA is quite small at this point to really caue any damage,not saying it cant,but it can,but its just awfully small.BTA's arent very powerful stinggers,but can pack a punch,Im sure the tang is OK

+1 but it does have a heck of a sting the smaller they are .. i lost a naso tang to a RBTA .. it got ahold of it .. i really hope yours will be ok ..

Well good news lights came on n he came out still pale in spots but swimming normal n picking at rocks I'm working on pic

I guess it depends on the bta because on time when i touched mine accidently while feeding it it stung me and it felt like a bee sting. But hasnt stung like it since.
