Tang white spot around eye

My tang has started gettingwhite spots around both eyes. It looks like scapes, but has started to progress relatively quickly. I just noticed them yesterday and the markings have already doubled. I’m hoping it’s not HLLE. Is there any diverse the target around the eyes? It’s hard to get a photo, but I can try if needed.

Definitely sounds like HLLE but without photos it will be really hard for anyone to confirm. Are you running carbon?

Yeah, so that looks VERY similar to mine. I actually wrote about it here. The good news is I've been able to reverse it and my tang is almost 100% healed at this point.

Definitely sounds like HLLE but without photos it will be really hard for anyone to confirm. Are you running carbon?

Ugh.. I hope not. I've add photos. Yes I do selectively.

How'd you manage to cure it? I have a 75g on standby. Salt mixing as we speak.

I think the #1 thing is to stop running carbon which is the most likely explanation for cause. I've also been soaking all food in Selcon for the vitamins. It was WAY worse than what yours is showing and it has healed very quickly. Good luck!

Sorry i know this is old. Just to clarify, stop useing carbon. Like "activated carbon"

Yes. There was a study on it suggesting this is a cause.
