Are the chances of getting ich on a tang the same on a yellow as on a blue? Why do they say blue get it more often?

Just got a Naso Tang today. He's in QT right now, are they more subseptible to ich than other tangs?

Blue it's more noticeable and they tend to have thinner slime coats and sleeping habits (staying in one place) that make them "sitting ducks" for ich and velvet.

Naso tangs are not any more susceptible than an "average" tang but are very fragile until established, say a month or two. Keep stress at a minimum and feed it small feedings frequently. Get it eating nori -- if you have to, rubber band nori to a rock or something. This mimics the way they feed on algae in the wild so they take to it a lot faster.
