I'm nearing the end of my stocking (my tank is almost 8 months old) and the last two fish I want to add are a couple of tangs.

What recommendations for two interesting and attractive tangs do you guys have? Or should I just have one?

My tank is 72X24X21. It's a mixed reef with mainly SPS, zoas and a couple of euphyllia. Current inhabitants are 7 wrasse (2 fairy, 2 flasher, 3 Halichoerus), a pair of black and white clowns, female watanabie angel, Flameback dwarf angel, Royal Gramma and a Yasha's goby/pistol shrimp pair.

I love the looks of purple tangs but fear they are too aggressive for my peaceful tank. Others I've thought about are white cheek/gold rim tang, yellow tang, Kole tang, white tail bristle tooth (if I could ever find one), Atlantic blue tang.

thanks for input!

Any of the ones you listed would be a good addition. The White Cheek is a very cool fish.

Atlantic blue tangs are great, but can be pretty aggressive too. If they don't take to each other very well, 155 gallons will not be enough for both of them when they are full grown adults.

Thanks guys!

Would I be better off with just one tang? What fish that I already have would be at risk of being bullied by the tangs? I assume the Wantanabei would be most likely to be a target. Would the smaller fish such as the wrasse, gramma and dwarf angel be at risk? Would I be able to add another wrasse or similar size fish or two in the future or is any newcomer going to be a problem?

I would add the Tang(s) last if possible. They should not cause any problems with any existing fish. I recently introduced a Powder Brown and Kole Tang into my 125. I have a bunch of Wrasses, Midas Blenny, Flame Angel, and a Foxface. The only issue was the Foxface was not thrilled to have them in there, but go over it quickly. No aggression or anything from the Tangs towards the existing tankmates.
