Wondering if I would be able to happily house a larger acantarus sp. in a 300g 8ftx2ftx30in. For its foreseeable lifespan without having to re-home it? Love the orange shoulders but don’t want anything in there that will eventually need to come out

It’s 24 inches wide and 30 tall.. I’ve never been one to enjoy cramming anything in a tank. I know the powders stay smaller, but don’t know if I even want to go there. I may settle with a convict.. so many optionsYou should be fine, assuming the width is 30 inches and the height 24 inches. If it is the other way round, it will be a bit tighter, but still okay for a fish that grows to 14 inches. Keep in mind you want lots of free swimming lanes down and across your aquarium. Plan the rock work accordingly so that you maximize both swimming the length of the tank as well as across the width of the tank.
