Tangs in tank?

Have a waterbox 100.3 reef tank but I was reading about tangs / dimensions of acceptable tanks and my size is not on there. Here’s a pic of the dimensions on the tank.

I’m assuming this is to small for a tang yea?

Different fish have different requirements. Tangs are swimmers. Fish live many years.

Perhaps you might either get a tank for your dream tang OR if you already have your dream tank then get fish suitable for it... there are many, many, many options for the size tank you already have.

Depends on the tang. Most are going to grow up and likely be cramped. But a two spot bristle tooth tang would work… a scopas tang would work also.

Don’t have my dream tank but won’t be able to get a new tank anytime within the next few years.

IMO depends on the tang. Smaller types or zebrasoma types of tangs might be a better fit and could work well for you. That's what I would look for.

I disagree with a 3 foot tank being okay long term for any tang.

Certain dwarf angels would be a good substitute
