My Whitecheek/Goldrimmed Tang has something wrong with his mouth. The mouths has ragged edges. It looks like his was bitting his lips. He was much more careful than usual to nip on Nori.

I started PraziPro treatment (dosing in QT) a few days ago and shortly after noticed that the tang's mouth looks damaged. Also I started using Xtreme Garlic: added a few drops to defrosted food. Wonder if garlic could've burned his mouth since he grabs it as soon as the food hit the water. Please, tell me if there is something wrong with my tang?

Thank you.

your talking about the brown on his mouth our the white puffyness around it

Right on the tip of his lips. It is brown with white ragged edges.
The white around his mouth is just his coloration.

If he has some sort of infection, but eating and acting well, can he fight it off on hisown without antibiotics? Are infections are contagious for other fish? Thank you.

I have had this happen before and they fought it off on their own.
