Tank ‘themes’ and patterns

I don’t know about you guys however I’ve noticed patterns occurring throughout my tanks. From the colours of the fish I have to the corals I seem to prefer.

So like in my 4’ tank, my fish are mainly Red, Blue/Black and Yellow. And in my nano, they’re all quite neutral colours. Then in my 4’ tank I prefer the more fleshy/bubbly corals like Yuma and Plerogyra and Fymbriaphyllia. Yet in my nano I prefer Monti and more encrusting corals.

Have you guys noticed any reoccurring patterns or themes within what fish or corals you select?

I don’t aim for a particular pattern. Personally like as much color popping as possible

I don’t aim for colours either but I look at my tanks and realise I have specific colours that take over my tank.

One of my customers chose fish based off their favorite sports teams; I can’t remember them all but they had a “Laker fish” “Kobe” the purple tang, I think a 49er fish (flame hawk maybe?), a blue tang I forgot association of haha and a few more.
