Tank after water change

is it just my tank or does everyone’s corals look like crap and stay closed up till next day after a water change I do mostly 5g in my 36g

Sometimes I get that and sometimes I don't. Most times it is just a few things.

You're not alone. That's one of the reasons I'm looking into a AWC system. Seems like if I can reduce the amount of stress and change on the ecosystem by doing small daily water changes, the tank will appreciate it. I do about 30 gallons in my 125 every 2 weeks.

A few hours to a day. Depends on the coral. Most of mine are fine unless I'm hitting them with water when refilling. That might cause them pull polyps in for a bit. Never a big deal though.
