Hello!
I decided to post some pics of my new build. I’m going from a 108 gallon Reefer 525 to a 240 gallon custom cube. This tank is an old school glass cube measuring 48x48x26 with a custom acrylic sump, with the same dimensions only shorter and it also came with an angled steel stand. When I purchased the tank from a local Reefer it was definitely not pretty and I was not crazy about it nor certain that it would hold water. The stand looked weathered and the sump was nasty to say the least. But because of how cheap I was getting it and the fact that the gentleman seem trust worthy and assured me that it’ll hold water I jumped on it. The last boost of confidence came from my wife when she said that I really had nothing to lose being that it was only $500.00 and if I had a change of heart it would’ve been easy to sell forward. So I bought it and here we are. I’m still a new Reefer, I’ve been doing this for roughly 3 years now. But I’ve already upgraded 3 times, lol. From a 60 gallon pet smart non reef ready tank, to a Reefer 350, then a Reefer 525 and now this 240 gallon tank. I’m very hyper and it shows in the way I’ve gone through so many tanks. I’m sure this will be it as it’s the biggest size I can fit in my office/living/lounge/fish room, lol!!
I finally have everything I need to start the tank transfer, im just waiting for the right weekend to get it started. Please see pictures attached. Once I complete this upgrade I’ll post some additional pictures.
Thank you!!
