Hey my name is Fred and I go by BackInTheTank in the forums ! So I have been building a 125 dual over flow reef tank . I custom built the stand and I custom aquascape (which is not complete in the photos). Every thing will be plumbed to a filtration room right next to the tank. In the filtration room I will have my sump/refugium, then it will have a over flow hang on the side box . Which will allow it to gravity flow down to a 40 gal breeder which I will be using for more rock filtration and a algea scrubber. Then from there it will be returned to the DT tank. While on the way back it will run through media reactors and a calcium reactor. Then I have a floating stand holding a 29 gal QT tank. Which I have that running already housing nem, clowns , and small coral frags. Also have two dosing pumps set up . And then down stairs I will have a water mixing station and a water making station with a ATO to top off into my sump directly above. I am also planning for a sill **** to be put in on the out side of my house for when I do water changes . I just open a gate valve after opening up the sill **** out side and my water is now being pumped out of my house . No more carrying buckets. I will then a have a return pump conected tk my apex turn on and pump water from my mixing station into my sump slowly as the water from my tank exits the house slowly. Then under my tank where in the pics I have . You will see a unpainted access panel. I will be removing this and sheathing off the inside like a giant cubby hole . This will be where my frag tank system will be going. This system will be running with soft hose plumbing . This way I can have it on multi draw brakes so I can slide the frag tank in and out of my stand. So far so good . But it's a slow process. So for now my goal is to get the 125 up and running. To the sump and start my cycle. Then I will build the algea scrubber and add it to the system. Then later down the line I will be finding the exact frag tank system for the area or I will build it myself like before!! So please feel free to follow along. Here are some not updated photos. I will update the photos this week end.
