So I'm very happy to announce I switched over my fish from my 36 bowfront to a nice big 75 gallon tank. It's almost 100% clear after about 24 hours all levels are good I don't expect a mini cycle but I'm allowing allowing week to be sure before I add anything. Right now I have 2 clownfish , 1 blue hippo tang , 1 yellow tang, and 1 six line wrasse. Suggestions on what fish to add and what intrevertes to add. Thanks all any other tips or suggestions are welcome!( stand is not done still have to paint and put doors on)

True , what's eveyone think of the stand like strength wise?
Looks ok, just make sure that top middle brace is secured real good (I would have extended that piece over top of the 2 ends instead), have you checked to make sure it's leveled several ways? Leveling people sometimes forget.

I made sure it was level , my house some reason is a little un level it's not a old house either so it's strange. But what piece are you talking about I should of extended , I used 2x6s for the 4 corners then 2 2x4s frames and middle brace and front brace. I feel like it should be good I'm surrevtnly day 3 in and it's doing well.

The front upper brace that runs corner to corner that the middle support is on (how you did this part is how I would have the outer pieces like as it will spread the stress and weight a bit better). Should be fine though. The way a house settles is crazy.

Have a top on that, as I don't see 1 in the pics? Wrasses and clowns are notorious jumpers.

Hmmmm I have had my clowns and six line for over 6 months now and no signs of jumpers.... but I think I'm going to build a screen top sooner or later. Still finishing my stand and what not so I'm getting there lol.

Also start a plan for that hippo. You will need a future upgrade or trade in plan for him. My first fish was a blue hippo in a 55.... their growth sneaks up on you

Agree with this. A 75 is not a big tank for any tang.
