How many of us check their tank at night after lights out ?
What do you see or find when doing so ?

I have found a beautiful Blue hermit I did not buy, recently did not know I had a bristleworm which was about 8" (Harlequin tusk ate half of him) , Confirmed many Pods running around limpet snails which I dont see during the day

I've been keeping Stony corals for 23+ years now. I have never had Fuzzy Acros. I always have a nice collection of angel fish or it could be just the way I keep my system, but I don't have hairy corals.

So I enjoying sneaking down in the darkness and seeing that all my corals are in fact nice and hairy - when the lights are out.

It also gives me a chance to see that the several hundred snails in the tank do their job at night.

I love watching the tank after lights out. I've caught bristleworms reproducing (segments break off and you have tiny things swimming around before the fish eat them), spotted leopard polyclad flatworms and got them out before they got giant, and most recently I've been trying to catch my newest berghia nudibranchs in action but haven't been able to spot them, yet.

In my tanks, it is cool to see all the CUC critters come out in force, and also see which coral are attacking their neighbors. They don't call some of them "Space Invader" coral because of the video game! They are just straight up rude! :grinning-squinting-face:

I enjoy seeing the army of snails emerge from beneath the sand. I also like seeing where fish go to bed. My Valentini puffer just kind of parks himself on top of a rock, not the most creative sleep spot.

I'll see bristle worms here and there but nothing too exciting.
