Tank chemistry help

Hey guys all my coral hasn’t been doing too good lately so I bought some test kits from salifert here are my results:
Calcium 420
Alkalinity 13.7
Mag 1020
This is my first time but I believe all and mag are off. I am wondering how I should address this. I’ve never had an issue in my 20 gallon but since I’ve upgraded to a 40 I’ve had problems

Alk seems a bit high. If your old tank had lower alk that could be the reason for corals being stressed

I would also say the Alk is high. I keep my Alkalinity level around 9dKh, Calcium around 420-450, and Mag around 1450-1500. What is your PH and salinity level?

Oh is 7.8 and salinity is at .025

What kind of lights do you have and what kind of corals are in the reef tank? Also, have you tested the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate lately?

You using tap water? As the alk is alittle high and magnisium is alittle low calcium is right about where it should be which more then likly means you have a ph alittle to much on the base side as you oh drops so does the alk but its odd your magnesium is low and calcium is right where it should be with suck a high alk which means you have another alkaline element thats to high which may be causing the coral to be mad

Only way I can think of this happening is not doing water changes and an element has built up or using tap water to do water change which cantains to much of somthing
