I need advice,
I bought a fish tank about 3-6 months ago from a local pet store 2hrs away from me. They said the tank was never used but now that I've gotten around to cleaning it and getting ready to set up I've found a few scratches and I think a few dings in the glass. Amazingly, all the corners are in perfect condition.
I call them dings because they look like when you hit a piece of furniture on the wall and it just leaves an indent.
The dings are on different panels, but on the front and back panels. It's a 90gal, 4ft long tank. They're all enough to catch my finger nail but depth is immeasurable, wouldn't even say 1mm more like 1/4 - 1/2mm if that. I guess the over all question is, of the ones I have found and if I find more similar ones - how concerned should I be about how they will affect the integrity of the tank?
Thank you!
Photo 1: ding , very bottom just above the brace (about 4 inchs from the side panel)
Photo 2: scratch on inside of tank
Photo 3: 2 dings about 1/2 - 3/4inch apart, both about 1/4 inch long and are in the middle of the panel
Photo 4: glass thickness (figure this was important)
Photo 5,6,7: coupled dings in the middle of side panel. These are the ones that have me the most concerned, it's like the tank was set down on some tiny rocks and they chipped into the glass
