Had to do a full tank cleanup, except for the back where all the good bacteria lives.

SO far everyone is doing well, have had no losses.

My circulation pump did go out yesterday, and while it's temporarily working again I've already ordered a new replacement. I'm using a Tunze 1073.050 pump form an upgrade I had done early on when I got the aquarium.

How do the different clowns get along, are they constantly agressive or accepting of each others?

They get along very well actually. I introduced both the black ones and the tomato ones together when I first got them. There's a maroon that nobody messes with.

I often here folks say one pair per tank but I see what you have and it's neat that it is working for you. I have never tried more than one myself.

They're not wrong. It's a matter of luck I guess? When I introduced my tomatoes and black clowns they were maybe like 6 months old. I was warned at the time by my lfs sales person that I shouldn't put them together, but it was an experiment for me. Of they hadn't gotten along I'd have an excuse to get an additional tank but they ended up getting along from the very beginning.

Interesting. I had a female maroon that took over half of a 6ft tank and would drive off everything even 6-7 inch tangs. Final straw was when she started ripping corals off of her rocks.

They truly are vicious. I once had one that is had to give away because I could not get my hands on the tank for anything, and I wasn't able to get new fish because of her either. I call them all mini killer whales.
