This is not saltwater related but I have a 30 gallon freshwater tank and I don’t know why but it’s been cloudy for the last 3 weeks can someone help me

Replace your carbon for starters, always a good starting point when you have cloudy water.

If it's white cloudy, then it is a bacterial bloom. Cut feeding in half and skip water changes. The bacteria overpopulation will crash on itself.

I would agree with @eatbreakfast that it is likely a bacterial bloom. It could be indicative of other issues though, so I'd test the pH level as well. If all seems normal, treat it as a bacterial bloom and see what happens - but if the water is highly alkaline, test for metals.

Planted Tank? If not, run some carbon and be ready to do a water change. If it is bacteria what goes up must come down

what kind of filter are you running... I had gotten an aqueon starter tank and used the cartridges that the filter came with and had the same problem I finally took those out and replaced them with a bag of bio rings and filter sponge and it cleared right up.
