Just looked at your other threads and see that you have a 150. That is a lot of force being put on the glass. If it were me I'd drain it low and hit the farm store for a plastic water tank. Move everything to the tub while getting the tank returned/replaced. You can build a stand with cinder blocks and keep using the sump to filter the tub.

If no live stock yet then might not go to the extreme of keeping a stock tank going. Maybe just keep the rock and sand in a big trash can with circulation while sorting out the glass.

That is really a shame. At least this happened at the beginning and not when it is full of expensive inhabitants. Was the crack from some sort of impact? Looks like a small chip along the crack in one of the photos. I think that would be an odd place for the tank to break otherwise. Definitely would not trust it to not get worse, or fail completely.

Good luck with the process. Remember that aquascape to use in the new tank. Looks really nice.

I managed to empty 25% so far and no splace left for water. No impact or anything just comehome from work no one was a home.

Do you think it will be replaced by the manufacturer or repaired ?? Or what will it be now as it is less then 3 weeks old

Agree with above, replace tank if warranty applies which I would think it should. Usually they have at least a 1 year warranty I believe.

Ye already did and it isnt open untill monday
What have you decided to do? Are you going to leave it 75% full till Monday or empty completely? It would be a shame to have all that water end up everywhere. Would make a bad situation much worse.

Good luck with whatever route you choose and I hope everything works out.

+1 on keeping that aquascape when you rebuild. It looks pretty cool.

I am dealing with the same type of crack on the back glass of 140g. It was water tested and a message was sent to the manufacturer.

Their reply:
This is the response from our builders, QC team and design engineers about your tank:

“If it is caused by an impact, you can tell the customer to see if the glass has other cracks.
If there are no other cracks, it is safe to use.”

There are no other crack no impact or anything i think i leave it for now as i have glued the aquascape to the bottom to be on safer side

Unfortunately many manufacturers will only guarantee a tank if you use their stand.

Not sure why you needed to glue the base rocks to the glass...

I did purchase a whole set up from the manufacture its evolution aqua proreefer 1500 everything from them.

Its not glued i put some silicon around the base rock and under it very thin layer so it would not move and to be 100% sure it woudnt fall over or anything better be safe then sorry. Hopefully they will repair it or just replace the front glass

Good news they will replace the tank and i can keep the old one . If anyone want it just let me know. Uk based. Can i still reuse the water from the old tank? Do i still need to cycle it? Or what would be the best plan of action.
Thanks for help guys.
