Came home to 100.2 tank temps lost thousands in livestock

thanks to the people that are holding the rest of the corals till i get this worked out! saddest part about it...............lost a "pink *******" chalice about 7in around

Very sorry to hear this.

Was your heater on a controller? Just asking to help others prevent the same thing from happening.

It was, this is the second time in two years this has happend iv checked everything just faulty equipment

well back to the chopping block to see what im doing next

Every tank owners worst nightmare....that sucks. What size heater did you have? I'm just wondering because I have always bought a heater rated way too small for the tank and then just put in 2 instead of one. Even if there is a malfunction it can't get the tank temp that high by itself.
