Well in that case there is absolutely nothing anyone can do then.

So guys just an update! Took my water into the lfs and had it tested just to be sure. All of my tests match their except for the ammonia. Their test showed I had an ammonia spike which very well could have been caused by the dead fish in the tank for half the day while I was at work.

Anyway, I did a large water change and got that back down to near zero.

Tank seems to be fine. The remaining two fish are still alive and happy [emoji4]. Levels are near perfect again, including the ammonia.

Checked for stray voltage with my multimeter, none.

Tank is still at around 79 degrees.

So as of now it is still a mystery but a lesson learned to pay very close attention to not only my water but things going on in the room around my tank.

I have learned a lot of really good information going through this and just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped!!!

Thanks!!!

79 degrees seems a bit high. I usually maintain 74 degrees. Perhaps the ammonia spike is due to a die off of nitrifying bacteria due to the higher temp? Just throwing it out there.

74 seems very low to me. I think most people shoot for 77-79F and I know some people prefer 80-81F.

Just a few pictures from today.

74 is freezing for a reef! 79-80 all day. I keep mine at 80 and for the most part all is good.
