I have a JBJ 28 gallon cube. It has been up and running for many months. It has been doing very well and full of corals and 3 fish. I recently had a small problem with red cyano algae. Not a huge issue, but a couple of patches that would not go away. I purchased some chemiclean. The tank is full of Zoas, a couple of leathers, a scallop, snails, Kenya tree, sun coral, frog spawn, and some small tube worms. Well I used the chemiclean just as the instructions indicated. The second day I noticed my tank was cloudy. Then everything in the tank closed up. Most of the corals were putting of slime. I tested the water and all seemed fine. I did a 25% water change added new chemi-pure. Well 4 days later the water is almost clear. Now all the snails are dead, as well as my sun, leathers, Kenya tree, and scallop. Some of the zoas are starting to open up. Not sure if any of these will die. Everything tested ok. Ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates almost 0. Does anyone have any idea of what might have happened???? I am new to this and would like to know so I can prevent it in the future. Not sure if the Chemiclean could do this or what.

Chemiclean affects the oxygen levels in the tank. I had a crash once after using it. I now do manual removal, and increase water flow to combat it if it rears its ugly head.
