My first one....
Cat did some damage, this is super depressing......
All the collecting and growing I've been doing, demolished by cat toys.

I know how it feels to have a cat kill somthingours wiped out my clownfish fry tank....

Can you tell us the story?

That's horrible, sorry to hear it. One of my cats once went for a swim in my tank. I now take every precaution to make my tank cat proof. Were you able to salvage anything?

Oh no.... That blows man.... Where ya been Ryan???
Mostly working and trying to fix my car.....
I currently ride a bicycle 12.5miles to work, then home. It sucks in the winter and has been taking a-lot of my time.
I try to stay at friends homes who live close to my work, hence not having much interweb access :(

Man, that doesn't sound good. What's the story?

I just came home and found 4 cat toys in my tank, also a wet cat on top of my light fixture.
Maybe having my tank on the floor isn't such a good idea, but I don't have a stand for the QT tank :/

Pretty much everything is bleached and receding. Softies are doing alright, but this is the first time I have seen ALL my coral SO upset, hoping with time all of it starts growing back.
I may have lost some of my bigger pieces though, Tyree red, Miami Hurricane, Snagglepuss, Rastafarian, and BGM :(
All the smaller pieces have skeleton poking through, but not in horrible shape.

I dont know if cat toys would cause any problems, but I dont know for sure as I dont know what are in cat toys...

This sounds off the wall but could the cat have urinated in the tank when it got in and then caused this issue?

I have no idea, some toys were electronic though. haha
Not sure if that tiny bit of electricity would matter though?

Im not sure if corals can really sence electricity, but Im not saying its impossible.

EDIT:I agree with Troy,I didnt think about the battery....

that copper top battery would...:(

I already threw the toys away, but I wonder if the acid might have been coming out or something?

sorry to hear that Ryan!

thanks, it is sorry :( haha
Must be HAPPY
Sorry to hear dude, hit me up when you're back on track and I'll ship you some stuff :D
hehe that sounds like a deal ;)
GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK MAN!!!!!!!

Thanks Chong, seems like everyone goes through something similar at one point or another.... haha

Sorry to hear Ryan - guess it makes for a good excuse to start over again eh?

I think it's almost expected once a year...:( I never have a tank up over a year so I wouldn't know lol.... "gotta stop upgrading":)

I am just going to start my upgrade and stop collecting like I have.

Sorry to hear Ryan - guess it makes for a good excuse to start over again eh?

Yes, but so expensive! haha

Yep, that is the down siding of reefing - its never cheap.
