well i got my sump room running but the bad thing is even with 700 watts of heat the temp droped to 72 and stayed there for like 3 days so i went and bought another heater and ive got it to 76.9 so every stony is either dead or 3/4 of the ways dead only thing left is zoaz that have not opened since the move and one ric.
:-(

Todrick, Did You Not Notice It Is That Why It Stayed That Way For Three Days? Sorry To Hear About That Man. Let Me Know If You Need Help With Anything.

Sorry to hear about that.

One of the locals up here keeps his reef at 74 deg, so I wouldn't have guess that 72 would be such a problem. What temperature do you normally keep the tank?

it use to stay at 78 but with the 180 display and the 55 and 30 gallon downstairs the temp was 80 when i conecteded it but i guess after the water ran it droped and even my chalice is dead

not to say it isnt the culprit, but id be looking for another reason for losing so much stuff so fast. that isnt the best temp, but I wouldnt call it deadly. at least not a quick death. now if its at 72 at the hottest, and drops into the sixties that would do it, but I doubt a few days at 72 would wipe everything out. have you looked into other reasons?

WAHAHAHA maybe you should stick with something you can handle like a nano. :)

good pep talk jeremy! your so compationate! :D

you guys are acting like little kids! and maybe if you did more water changes there would be some coral in that tank todrick! HEHE! And we all know what jeremys tank has got to look like! HEHE

My tank has dropped as low as 67 degrees before and I've never lost anything... Of course, that was accidental! I would also check into something else being the culprit as I don't think low 70s would do fatal damage.

thats kinda how I felt sara. I just dont see a couple days at 72 killing much, maybe stress but not death. who knows?

Or maybe that little thing called carma caught up with todrick for talking about my tank. :)

72 isn't going to be your problem unless it dropped from 80 to 72 within an hour. I use to run my 55 between 75-77 all the time with my chiller.

How come a guy that can talk so much smack can't keep his own tank in a running condition. I bet you are realy busy pointing everything out that's dead to yourself. If you need someone to laugh in your face just call me I will be more than happy to. :)

Your such a JERK Jeremy! (that's what makes you awesome! LOL!)

Todd sorry bud...:( I'll help you with a few frags as my sps grows out when your ready.
