Nitrite - 0.25ppm
Nitrate - 40ppm

Nitrites will give a false reading on the nitrate since test kit converts the nitrite into nitrate. You probably have a lower reading.

Based on your other post it's been 18 days since you started the cycle. You should be ready. Add fish, continue doing weekly 10% water change and those nitrate will go down with time.


This low of nitrite won't affect anything but if you wish to wait you can.
