Just happy to share my ammonia status in my cycle. I've waited about 3 weeks now and made some mistakes with food and fish death so the levels were really high but now they're moving along. The first vial is 100% sw. The second is 50% (just so I could initially see if the levels were changing because it was so high before) second picture is what it was a few dats ago. Any idea how long I might wait for nitrite? I am dosing microbacter7 and am considering bio spira and live sand (For sure) in a few days. I took a live from from a very established system. The copapods, chiton, baby brittle, and baby snails are doing well surprisingly.

Nitrite will also take 2-3 weeks too drop , then nitrate but you can do a water change too reduce that , my advice don’t rush the cycle , just let it be .. everything will happen when it needs too .. Patients.. patients..patients .. enjoy this time watch and learn as your tank matures and stabilize s , use the time too research the fish and corals you want too add .. good luck !

Thank you! I think the nitrate is going to require a 90% water change unfortunately. How powerful can macroalgae be? My first real fish goal is a fu man chu lion but I'll need to put something in there as a test fish. I'd want it to be permanent and compatible with my future lion and a longhorns cowfish. Any ideas?

Im not really a fish Guy sorry .. but there is a thread on here called is this fish compatibele for my tank .. i think you should post iT there or in one of the forums for fish on here ,
