Tank cycle

Got 60g cubed on fx6 and uv for the past week got my dr Tim’s and ammonia in today. Temp set to 80 and soon as I get home im getting started. Do I turn my fx6 off while I cycle cause I saw u remove filter socks and turn skimmer off for 48 hours. I’ve seen multiple vids and read many threads but it’s a different beast when you finally do it yourself.

Oh I forgot I got the 4oz bottle of dr Tim’s that treats 60g. I pour the whole bottle in right????
