Tank cycle

Hello all,
Upgrading tank to a 55 RR and im wondering if I purchased nutri-seawater and live sand if i would still have to cycle the tank if i did not use live rock. Any incite would be appreciated

Yes you will still need to cycle the system.

The denitrifying bacteria need to colonize the rock work and filter mediums to effectively complete the nitrogen cycle.
