My filter broke and I added a bunch of fish. My nitrates are through the roof. Should I leave my tank lights on 24/7 so my macro algae helps reduce the impact of the cycle?

What is the value specific value. Leaving the lights on would have no affect.

I would not leave lights in 24/7 if there are fish in that part of the tank.
