I have a 120 gallon tank which should be up and running within the next 2 weeks. Building a custom stand for it. I have bought 100lbs of Marco Dry Rock and will be doing a fishless cycle of the tank. Question is do i also buy dry sand or should i go with live sand? If live which brand should i get? BRS sells Caribsea and Ocean direct. Also how many pounds would i need for a 11/2 to 2 inch sand bed?

I used 100 pounds of live sand in my 90 and got a little over 2 inches.. So for 1-1/2-2 inch I would say 100 pounds should do it deff 120 pounds.

I used the caribsea special grade arag live nice texture won't get blown around.
