TANK CYCLED IN 3 DAYS?

I cycled 10 pounds of premium live rock from the Gulf of Mexico, put it in my 65 gallon tank with 50 pounds of base rock and threw in a piece of shrimp to help cycle the base rock. Well after 3 days the ammonia level will only go to 1.0 down to .5. The nitrate is about 20 but the nitrite stays at zero. Do I need to add another piece of shrimp to make the ammonia to spike higher or what? First time with live rock here so any ideas would be helpful.

did you seed it or anything? mine took about 5 days, but i even seeded it with green hair algae

The live rock was uncured with algae, sponges, I put a cup of live sand in the tub when cycling the live rock. It only took 3 days in the tub to go from off the charts to zero.

If your ammonia isn't at 0 and staying at 0, you're not cycled.
