Tank cycled, now what?

Okay so my tank is finally cycled and my nitrates are reading between 2 and 5ppm on a salifert test. The question I have is should I do a water change before I add 2 clown fish. It is a 150 gallon with 30 gallon sump?

No real need to do a water change. You should be A okay, just make sure to acclimate them.

That is what I was thinking, the nitrates seem low enough that I wouldn't have to worry. I may start to add a couple softies but I figured as long as nitrates are below 15 I should be fine for that

have to find out what salinity the guy is running in his tanks but will find out when i pick them up. Either way i was planning on drip acclimating them

The biggest problems with my tanks have all arisen from improper salinity testing. I'd get a good refractometer (if you don't have one), 35 ppt refractometer (not electric testing) calibration solution, and then make sure that you recalibrate weekly. Tropic Marin glass hydrometers are wonderful, but they're bulky, awkward, fragile things and something of a hassle to use. They are, however, also foolproof.
