If I did biospira, pods, macroalgae, live rock, and live sand, how long would it take to cycle a tank? The rock is from one of my own tanks so won't be shipped for a long time.

Also I squeezed my filter media into the tank + 5 gallons of my other tanks water (The new tank is a 10g)

Additionally it's 5 pounds of live rock + 10 pounds of dry pukani. I put in a few snail shells with coralline algae too

You will still need an Ammonia source to start the cycle and then monitor the rise and fall of Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. I would think your addition of live rock and other listed items should help kick start the bacteria and shorten the process a bit. Not sure how long because every tank is different. GL

Thanks!
