Tank cycling?

I’ve been cycling my tank for about 2.5 weeks and been dosing it with microbacter7 everyday but the ammonia still seems to high. Local fish store told me I just need two weeks for tank to cycle. Any suggestions on what I should do? I have 10 gallon waterbox cube.

Are you using API test kits? they have a tendency to misread.
