Have any of wanted to set up for a certain size tank and eventually ended up going in a totally different direction? I want to get an sca 90 cube. I only planned on getting the tank only purchase and make the rest of what I needed. Had even bought a trigger system sump and was getting ready to pick a skimmer. Then dang this forum I happened upon pelphrey’s reefer 250 then I searched more reefer 250’s. and it got me thinking what if I went that route. To cube or not to cube or do I get on the reefer bandwagon? Oh man decisions decisions. I find these both to be amazing tanks and they’re both the same width.

Yeah was going to do a reset on my 40br then the redsea 250 caught my eye as it had the same footprint then ran into the waterbox 100.3 which is 24" front to back. Took me a week to decide the red sea the waterbox or the IM 75 ext. Waterbox 100.3 won finally

Just letting you know basic plumbing part from red sea is famous for being finicky just make sure you do full gate valve union plumbing and upgrade sump before you go togo

Sca is decent for price but not as sleek looking as waterbox or redsea but that dosent matter. What matters is corals and live stock inside

Just go custom and forget deciding on a certain mass manufactured tank:p So much more fun and you get EXACTLY what you want;)

I agree, the valve on my Reefer 250 is a PIA to adjust and if I had known from the beginning about this issue I would have had my LFS install a Spears valve instead. That being said, I love everything else about my Reefer 250. I selected the deluxe model with the Ai Hydra 26 LED's and a white cabinet. It looks stunning in my living room!!!

I find it easy, Its just the prices of some which I understand, but to take a loan for a tank - Yikes !!!

The WB 100.3 looks amazing!anybody know what the weight of the tank and stand are?

I thought i seen somewhere the tank was 160 lbs. I had medical restrictions so I couldnt lift mine but son in law and friend said it was every bit of that

^^^ that’s true. Being that I Had surgery on my foot and have another surgery coming up soon a turnkey system seems like the only way to go. I’m not really a fan of the sca stands. The WB 100.3 is closest to that 90 cube size. But I’ve been reading a lot about people having problems with the tanks or the stands.
