I am out of town working, my wife tells me she hears a beeping sound.I have her check my tunze ato to see if its on. It has a reduncy set at PH 8.45 then off. It was cycling on and off. I tried to talk her through to remove the Kalk Reactor from the system, because the Reactor is probably to blame of the high PH. She dumped all of the Kalk water from the Reactor into the sump. My PH went up to 8.55 and dkh was at 10.9 before she dumped the Kalk water in. What should we do? I maintain dkh of 9 and PH 8.1-8.3.

I know this won't help right now. But a lot of towns have at least one emergency aquarium service company. Maybe look it up and post it on the tank in-case something happens next time you out of town?

...

What do you mean she dumped ALL the kalk water in. How much was there. What are the levels now. Depending how much calc water there was and what concentration yes it could kill all your fish. But there are a billion unknowns. Maybe @redfishbluefish @Humblefish @Randy Holmes-Farley can help. But they will need a lot more information. Starting with current tests results after the event, as it sounded like those numbers where before the event.

I highly recommend as you are out of town ATM, checking to see if you have any 24 hour aquarium service companies, or calling one to come over as soon as they open if not. Your wife while trying sounds like a novice and this could be a minor or major issue. It is worth the $100-$200 it will likely cost to make sure your tank is safe.

I think you're going to be OK. Your pH & Alk will now come down naturally. But you need her to take that ATO offline cause you don't want to dump anymore kalk in.

Yes, I think so. PH only spiked to 8.55. She was removing the reactor, when she took the discharge tubing loose and put it into the input side of the Reactor. The Reactor then drained into the sump. Everything is alive, because of the 289 water volume I have. The Kalk to water volume is what saved me. DKH is at 10.5, Calcium 420 and PH at 8.30.
