So my fallow DT has about 60 days to go (ICH)
What should I feed shrimp, anemone, turbos, GSP and feather duster still hanging out?
Spot feed? Broadcast? They look hungry!!
(Amazing how algae is disappearing with absence of food pellets. )

Your anemone is probably photosynthetic, and won’t need any feeding. If you want it to grow faster, you can feed in a bit of frozen once a week. GSP is photosynthetic.
what kind of shrimp do you have? Feeding it may cause it to lose its natural behavior (peppermint shrimps eat aptasia, for example), but if necessary frozen will do fine.
Idk what to tell you about the tube work, but I know the thrive in dirty tanks...

Thx for your reply. They’re peppermints. They seem to like the frozen krill ive tried.

this is a very specific time we'd want to reduce lighting intensity to avoid bleaching and stressing the nem in the low nitrogen condition. we have a specific thread collecting times we need to stay away from full intensity lighting, I never thought about fallow, its directly indicated on many levels for fallowing tanks *if* the feed is restricted.

if the feed isn't restricted, then no need to lower lighting the fish being in or out wont make a difference.

I guess the only feed I'd withhold would be minnows frozen or thawed etc, but no reason to withhold things like rod's feed or pellets or reef energy etc, just not fish.

*frozen fish might still be ok am not sure, but there's no need to restrict feed in general during fallow.

This is good to know. My plan was to feed sparingly until 2-3 weeks before re-introducing clowns and goby from QT then increase feeding with some pellets as well as frozen.
Now I just have to decide on 48 days or 80 days for QT period. But that’s another discussion.
