I'm upgrading to a RSR425 from a RSM130d and looking to get my shopping list together.

On my current tank that I bought used the previous owner had egg crate on the bottom (covered with sand) to protect the bottom from falling rocks.

Should I do the same on my new tank? What do everyone on here do if anything to protect glass bottom when setting up a new tank.

I asked that question when I did my new tank. I got mostly no, and no need to. It can cause issues if stuff sits in the grate holes. I glued my rocks down good.
