This is exactly what I did with my nano!I would suggest moving the power head down lower in the tank to circulate in the lower part of the tank. From the pictures, you have all the flow in the upper part of the tank.
Maybe mount move the power head from the front to mid way down, under the return. Then angle the power to were it does not blow the sand but moves the water around the bottom of the tank.
How is the flow now? This is exactly what I did with my nano!
Question what do you mean return sorry I'm new to all this. So I move my phone pump head where. What about my nozzle should I have them pointing down both of them? Should the pump be moved to the opposite side of tank underneath the nozzles?I would suggest moving the power head down lower in the tank to circulate in the lower part of the tank. From the pictures, you have all the flow in the upper part of the tank.

Please send me a picture for a explain. I want to get this right. How is the flow now?

Let me know if this is good flow.![]()
That is better, I still suggest to move the powerhead under the returns to where I have the arrow. point the powerhead at the angle like you have it, but against the front glass not the rock work. This way the flow to bounce off the glass and back at the rock work and bottom to circulate the water throughout the tank. does that make since?
Also the system will look cleaner with power head under the return![]()

That is a winner
