I have a rsr 350. Finished my aquascape. Running a cor 20 pump for the return. Trying to decided between a reef wave gyre or a vortech mp4?

It helps to know what you plan to keep but you really can't go wrong with a vortech. I've never tried a gyre pump but I see alot more of those used for sale than vortechs and that tells me something.

2 wavemakers is best. Get some cross flow action and helps eliminate dead spots

I just meant powerhead

I just meant 2 powerheads all together. Whether you choose a gyre or not

Got it thank you. How do you set up the flow for to power heads, so there is a cross flow and not both pushing water to the middle of the tank ? I’m coming from a 32g bio cube a few years, so this is a whole new element.

Opposite sides of the tank about 1/3 of the way down pointed slightly upward is how I have mine. I have kind of a whirlpool effect with one facing front the other back.

You'll play with direction and speed a bunch until you find the sweet spot. My tank is 2yrs old and I was just playing with them the other day.
