My Hydra HD 26 went out last night out of nowhere and started to chirp with a small flicker from the LED light indicator. I called AI and it sounds like a driver problem. Hopefully they will replace it because I do not want to buy another light. This will be the 4th light from them with problems. I will be done using them if that is the case.

Why my tank will be without light for 2 weeks is because on Friday I leave for a trip for a week and I will not be getting my replacement light before Friday. I am a little worried about it. I have everything from SPS to Zoas in the tank. The tank will be able to get a little light but not directly. It will come from a window across the room from it.
Do you think I will be okay?

Two weeks may be pushing the limit although in the wild the cloud cover can certainly exceed that... Any chance you may have someone install the light?

I have my brother around that I might be able to talk through it. We will just have to see if he can do it

I'd go to home depot or lowes and buy some of those clamp on metal reflector dome lights and the highest wattage 6500k CFL bulbs I could find. That should keep things alive short term.

I would be nervous about 2 weeks with no light at all.

Agree with the 6500k idea, I've got pulsing xenias in my refugium doing fine under that spectrum.
