Hey everyone I was just curious if anyone has had experience with tanks in apartments not on ground floors. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and have been on what size tank I can get weight wise. The tank I would really like to purchase is 54 gallons.

If the floor is thick concrete, like most apartments, that size won't be an issue. You can learn more by reading this article. "Does my floor need supporting." It's currently on page 9 of the articles on this site. Hope that helps.

Better check your lease. Many apartments have specific clauses for aquarium sizes allowed.
