Hey everyone I was just curious if anyone has had experience with tanks in apartments not on ground floors. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and have been on what size tank I can get weight wise. The tank I would really like to purchase is 54 gallons.

Check your other identical posting in the New To Saltwater Forum... You have some answers to your post there. If you are new to R2R, watch your alerts, they will tell you when your threads have received responses. Good luck!

Best bet would be to contact either the building manager or your landlord and see what the floor rating is. And go from there :) Figure a gallon of water weighs approximately 8 pounds, plus the tank itself, plus your live rock, sand, sump, stand.
