Tank help

Good evening. I came home today to a dead royal flasher wrasse and a dead diamond goby. the past week my anemone has been balled up the only reason i can think why is the clownfish that used to play in it is since gone a week ago. any help would be greatly appreciated to know why my fish are dead and how to get my anemone back to normal.

Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
Alkalinity- 12.3 DKH
Calcium-410
Ph- 8.0
magnesium- 1230

tank is around 4 months old. the fish were alive last i saw on tuesday.

I assume your fish and anemone were about 4 months old, doing well, and then everything went bad around Tuesday. Any ideas about something being put into the aquarium?

I can’t think of anything. the only thing i added was a flame hawk recently

Could the Flame Hawk introduced a fast acting pathogen?

Im suspecting false readings. If youre using API kits, I encourage you to take a good water sample to a trusted LFS that does Not use Api kits and see what readings they come up with and to compare with yours.

i’m not sure honestly. the anemone was acting strange before the flame hawk was introduced

It May be a good idea to have ammonia and nitrate rechecked. Don’t worry about Nitrite unless sky high

Whats the salinity & temp?

Couple things, are these numbers (if accurate) stable and consistent? If you have a newer tank (4months is still very new) you could have fluctuations and that could be stressing the nem & fish out. have you changed anything recently like salt brands or started dosing anything new like a snake oil potion for anything?

The parameters haven’t changed much in the last couple months. I’ve been using the same salt brand since day 1 and haven’t been dosing anything other than some ph riser.

I will try that. i just ordered an ammonia nitrite and nitrate test kits from salifert.
