So my apartment's living room will have a large amount of rennovation sometime in the next several months (floors redone, lots of drywall work, etc.). I would like to set up a tank in that time, and am thinking about putting it either in an available carpeted bedroom (not so much space and carpet) or a bathroom (tiled floor, sufficient space for a nano which I could move out later. And yes, I've thought about not setting up a tank until all this is resolved by a) this has not been resolved for nearly 6 months now b) I have a nano tank concept. ).
If I put it in the bathroom, my main worry will be the possibility of soap sudes getting into the tank, humidity and condensation of freshwater onto the tank, and humidify messing up some of the equipment. I will keep the tank covered, mitigating the first two. I'm still a bit worried about the equipment, even though I will keep the fan on (110 cfm bathroom fan) and keep the door open (so the humidity ventilates with the outside air).
I suppose before I set this up I should measure the humidity in the bathroom in such situations; if it doesn't go above like 70% for more than a few minutes I should be OK?
What do people think?
