I'm thinking about changing my set up, I'm remodeling my house and wife has given me the ok to make a fish room/office on the other side of the living room. I'd like to make it viewable from both sides.what would be the best way to do this? My current tank is black across the back with huge over flows. I'm going to have to change tanks.

Maybe you could find one with overflows on sides.

Yes that's what I think I need. Would it be possible to buy a large tank and make an overflow on one end?

If you want it viewable from both sides, it will have to be at the bare minimum 24" wide. That way you can scape and place corals on both sides. You might also want to look into having some flow come up through the center of the tank and have it hidden by the rockwork. A closed loop would work well.

How long of a tank are you thinking?

Ok yeah, if you are going that big, you are going to need flow that probably would be able to be just from one side of the tank. A closed loop would be the best way to achieve this. You should start searching large tank threads and get some ideas on how they plumbed the tank, especially peninsula style tanks. Sounds fantastic, but wont be cheap, thats for sure.
