Tank is heating up over normal levels and dont know why!?!

my tank is heating up unexpectedly. its going up but the heater is in the sump and the return pump seems to be like its not working... what could be the problem?

When is the last time you cleaned your return pump? Is your heater light on? What temp do you have it on? What is at now?

It could be external factors such as temperature do you have a computer in the room? Is the heater set to always be on or off or to maintain a temperature?
